Wish all peace and public tranquility and happiness, as well as all call on Azerbaijani to firmly implement progressive ideas of the National Leader of Azerbaijan Haydar Aliyev and for order's sake of Independence, social and political, economical and cultural development of the Republic of Azerbaijan we should closely unite around the President of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev and I wish the coming 2009 year would become successful.

       With a great pleasure, as you know in period of the Soviet Union Power oil operating processes were carried out scattered, negatively impacting to the environment and of course it did not pass away Azerbaijan as an oil country where it showed itself enormously increased.
       Only after our country achieved Independence and returning back home out National Leader Haydar Aliyev all spheres started to grow and ecology field was not left out of attention development processes started on and many required decrees on this improvement were assumed. In the meanwhile after Mr. Ilham Aliyev became the president of the Republic of Azerbaijan he gave a range of important decrees for improvement of ecological position in Azerbaijan especially in oil operating and exploration sites.
       Corresponding to the President decree dated on 28 of September 2008 about improvement of ecological position in Azerbaijan there were fulfilled many required activities to create the "Complex Action Plan" for 2006-2010 years which stated as a very important issues for SOCAR.
       Taking all these into consideration there was need to create appropriate organizations that would meet al requirements of International Standards for successful implementation of environmental projects at the same to succeed in involving foreign investors in this business to be fulfilled in all operating sites of SOCAR.

       That became the reason to establish "Ekol Engineering Services": Closed Joint Stock Company which was founded by SOCAR (51%) and a foreign Investor "Lancer - S.A" Environmental-Consulting Company (49%). The Company has been awarded with TSE-ISO-14001 International Certificate.
       The main purpose of the company is to carry out treatment processes of industrial and wastewater, treatment and utilization of oily slope, recultivation and remediation of oily contaminated soil, prepare and work out ecological and normative-technical documentations, carrying out ecological monitoring works, implementation of complex laboratory services, greenery works, installation of sprinkler and other kind of engineering services.

Starting from 2006 year the company has fulfilled a range of ecological projects in operating sites of SOCAR. Treatment up to nominative level all the industrial and waste water formed during technical processes in Baku Refinery named after Haydar Aliyev and "Azneftyagh" Refinery as well as treatment and utilization of oil slope by means of modern methods and technologies have always been the main activity focuses.
       Alongside, there were prepared many technical normative documents for organizations and companies under SOCAR and more 30 companies have been provided with monitoring works and laboratory services. In operating site of OGPB called as "Bibiheybetneft" there was implemented remediation work of oily contaminated soil in more than 50 ha area.
       There is also Wax (paraffin) treatment site where in relevance with the contract signed with BP Caspian Exploration process wax received from operating sites of BP Company is continuously treated.

       As I noted our cooperation relations are basically developed with companies under SOCAR, besides, business relations are made with foreign companies.
       BP Caspian Corporation Ltd, "Surakhani Oil" Operation Company S.A, "Facet International" Germany, "Oswald Shultz", "Emscher Genossenchaft", "Project Engineering Wincker Gmdh", Alfa Laval Sweden, "Intecha" Czech Republic, "Ekonodragment" and many companies are considered highly potential partners.
       Except this, the company has signed cooperation agreements with ecological companies in Poland, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

       I suppose this year will be remembered with some portentous events. I was re-appointed the Director General of this Company in march month of the current year. Since that period there have been many positive structural changes where required department were established. They are following:
       Ecological Monitoring Department, Waste Treatment Department and Soil Remediation Department and other sub structural sections. As well as remediation works of oily contaminated soil started on and positive results were achieved.
       At the expenses of the foreign founder there were purchased 2 (two) modern kind of decanters for oil slope treatment powered by ALFA LAVAL Company. These decanters were installed in operating sites of "Bibiheybetneft" and Baku Refinery named after Haydar Aliyev and put into operation. This year we also have finished construction and installation works for waste water treatment plant of "FACET International" Germany and we participated at exhibitions within country as well as abroad like the "POLEKO" International Trade Exhibition held in Poznan city, Poland.

       Certainly, the global problem did not pass our country. Corresponding oil price fall down and some financial problems SOCAR has decided to stop down some companies' activities, of course as Sub Company of SOCAR "Ekol" met some financial problems in its potential activities as well.
       In spite of all these issues our company being supported by the foreign investor is still continuing its progressive activities in required spheres.
       I believe that, intellectually and professionally progressive stuff will keep trying the best in order to save our priority in this issue and jointly to cope with the Global Financial Crisis.

       Implementation of large scale ecological projects by "Ekol Engineering Services" CJSC is not issue only within the Country but abroad as well, we have a goal to introduce the company to all potentially based organizations meeting International Standards requirements all over the world.
       With the view of this, in a very short period the company has succeeded in creating high potential and qualified specialists stuff, very strong technical and financial base, and achieving the mutual business relations with foreign ecological companies.
       In order to develop and expand foreign economical relations and improve financial state of the company it's expected to carry out joint projects with foreign companies and establish required representatives in Caspian countries.
