[15.09.2008] Investigation studies on oil-slime ecological characteristics are being conducted.
"Ekol Engineering Services" CJSC began its works on oil-slime treatment and sterilization on the industrial areas of BORF named after H.Aliyev, ORF "Azerneftyag" and Bibieybat territory applying the newest technology of ALFA-LAVAL from May of the current year. Alongside with this, well-equipped complex laboratory conducts an investigation on oil-slime ecological characteristics.
During investigations it came out that oil-slime varies in its mixture. It is characterized by complex system; oil products, water and mineral elements (sand, loam, silt etc.) are included into its structure. The majority of these components is subjected to the alterations depending on the type of the raw material, treatment system, wastewater treatment equipment and reagents.
Oil-slime, reserved in open storehouses, is characterized by the structure and properties which are changing under the influence of atmosphere. In the course of time, as a result of light fractions evaporation, oil oxidation, inorganic and mechanic mixtures separation, the process of emulsions "ageing" begins.
Determining the level of risk which oil-slime emits all the contained toxic elements are being taken into the account; for example: hard metals ions, polyaromic and sulfur containing compounds, light aromic fractions, naft carbohydrohens, mineral and organic acids, surface active substances.
